The Leap, 2026
25x30cm
Plaster, Gaoling mud, mineral pigments, sand on wood
The leap of the mid-ocean ridge causes the axis of seafloor spreading to shift, and hydrothermal vents along with ocean current paths are reorganized accordingly, moving the center of new oceanic crust formation. Between the tearing and bending of old and new ocean ridges, the migrating marine life reflects the manifest rhythm of oceanic changes.
